Imperial County Transportation Commission Makes Wearing Masks Optional, Effective Immediately

El Centro, CA - Effective immediately, Imperial County Transportation Commission will make wearing masks optional on the fixed route network (IVT), paratransit (IVT Access), Dial-Ride service (IVT Ride), and non-emergency medical transportation (IVT MedTrans). This change comes as a result of the Transportation Security Administration suspending enforcement of the requirement on April 18, 2022 while a federal judge's ruling is still pending.

Imperial County Transportation Commission still highly recommends passengers wear a mask while riding public transportation. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
